Strengthen your understanding to embedding Code of Conduct while supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities

The resources developed will assist your organisations to assess compliance with the Code of Conduct for Aged Care (effective December 2022) specifically in relation to supporting CALD clients. These resource focus on the following main areas:

  1. The 8 Key Elements of the Code of Conduct in Aged Care

  2. Cultural Sensitivity and Competence across 6 key outcomes

  3. Self-reflection on provider’s initiatives to implement the Code and their workforce understanding of the Code.

  4. Practical tips and guidance and opportunities to promote a shared learning experience.

The associated resources will serve as both an assessment tool and a roadmap for organisations to enhance their cultural competency and ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct while providing high-quality care to culturally and linguistically diverse older Australians.
